Introduction

In Chapter 2 of Life Foundations, “Our New Identity,” we will see that what God says about your identity is more important than how others define you. We will consider the implications of trying to live up to other people’s expectations, rather than God’s.

This chapter also explores how a person’s identity in Christ is never tied to performance, results, or outward behavior. There is nothing we can do to earn more of God’s love or lose any God’s love.

As a Christian, your significance is based solely on Christ—His sacrifice and your adoption into His family.
