Introduction
As you begin Chapter 2 of Life Perspectives, you will help Timothy to accept the
challenge of “Knowing God’s Will.”
Make sure in this life-on-life relationship you are building with your Timothy that
he looks to God and His Word, and not you as his “Bible answer man.” You see, he
must daily learn to trust God completely in every area of his new life in Christ.
Make certain that he can explain and understand the following points:
- God is completely trustworthy and knows our needs better than we know them.
- God has designed us with a plan and a purpose, but we must seek His kingdom in order
to understand His plan.
- As we present ourselves to God of our own free will and worship Him, He gives His
Word to renew our minds so we can know His will for us.
- To hear and know God’s will, we must spend quality time with God in His Word, in
prayer, and asking the Holy Spirit to give us insight.
