loving relationships with Him and one another.
- Your heavenly Father desires an intimate relationship with you. That requires time
together.
- It also means open and honest communications with Him and others in our lives especially
in our marriage and family.

Introduction
Life Perspectives, Chapter 4, deals with the many different relationships we experience
in life: your relationship with Christ, your spouse, children, co-workers, and neighbors.
All of these relationships are very different. How can we keep them all in balance?
Your Timothy should come to understand:
- God desires our intimate personal relationship with Him
- This means spending time alone with Jesus through the Word of God
- Developing an authentic relationship requires work and sacrifice
In order to meet your spouse’s needs in marriage, you must first discover what they
are. An authentic relationship with God requires similar discovery through communication
and prayer. In a family, men are required to be the spiritual leader. That means
leading by serving and loving.
Work relationships have greater purpose than simply earning a living. As we work
to serve God, we also strive to invest in the lives of people in hopes of sharing
the hope that lies within us. Work is a means, not the end.
